It rained recently and I got to wear my new rain boots. I was very excited.

Jeremy and I headed to the Patagonia headquarters in Ventura to scope out backpacks and rain jackets.

Jeremy found a backpack.

Downtown Ventura.

Trying on all my adventure gear.

We made tofu tostadas one night for dinner.

Recovering after my long run with compression socks, foam rolling and frozen corn.

Valentine’s Day consisted of this pizza and lots of red wine.

We took a picnic to the beach yesterday, and I got some serious reading done.

Sushi on the beach.

Walking around our neighborhood the other evening at magic hour.

This popcorn was delicious.

I love miniature things. These lemons were too much.

I’m in the middle of trying to get my French citizenship, so my mom, grandma and I drove to LA today to go to the French embassy. It was closed.

Crazy fog driving to LA this morning.

My second home.

I didn’t have a dog with me, but I appreciated this dog drinking fountain/treat dispenser all the same.

Fanciest Coffee Bean I’ve ever seen.

I took my mom and grandma to Real Food Daily in Santa Monica for lunch. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl: Wild arugula, heirloom tomato and avocado in lemon herb Za’atar dressing with cucumber kalamata salsa, white bean basil salad, red quinoa tabouli, almond feta & whole wheat Za’atar flatbread. It was SO GOOD.

Driving through Malibu Canyon on our way home today.

Leaving Santa Monica.

Driving home on Highway 1.
Hope everyone’s week got off to a nice start!

This was a cool photo documentary. That Mediterranean Bowl looked yum. And coolness on the doggie fountain 🙂
That bowl was seriously delicious!
I love all of this! And I want to try that popcorn 🙂
It was the best microwave popcorn I’ve ever had, for sure!
You and Jeremy are so cute! This post made me so happy (minus the Embassy being closed). Only thing is I wish I could have been with you (especially for those meals and on the beach)! xo
I wish you could have too!! ❤
beautiful pictures. I’m trying to visit my sister in LA again soon. I miss the west coast so much!
You should do it, I may be biased but it’s definitely the best coast!
hahah I already agree with you and I’ve only been out there once
That meal looks absolutely delicious!
It was so delicious, I wish I could eat it every day.
That’s so cool that you’re trying to get French citizenship! What does that entail?
Lots of headaches and paperwork! And we haven’t even scratched the surface. As of right now, I’m just trying to get my name in my mom’s livret de famille to make me an official part of the French family (my parents didn’t do this when I was born), then I can try to apply for citizenship, which I’m thinking would be easier if I were in France. Off to France we go!
Sounds like you’re still having a great time, living your life as you desire. It’s such an inspiration. I love the multi-task recovery process – I might have to copy that. Oh, and just reading this post is making me hungry! Everything looks so yummy!
Those are such nice words! I’m trying to really soak up the last remaining days here. It’s always a good idea to leave a place though, so you can appreciate it more when you return! I am still daydreaming about that dish I ordered in LA.
