Lately, In Pictures

It rained recently and I got to wear my new rain boots. I was very excited.

Jeremy and I headed to the Patagonia headquarters in Ventura to scope out backpacks and rain jackets.

We took a picnic to the beach yesterday, and I got some serious reading done.

I’m in the middle of trying to get my French citizenship, so my mom, grandma and I drove to LA today to go to the French embassy. It was closed.

I didn’t have a dog with me, but I appreciated this dog drinking fountain/treat dispenser all the same.

I took my mom and grandma to Real Food Daily in Santa Monica for lunch. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl: Wild arugula, heirloom tomato and avocado in lemon herb Za’atar dressing with cucumber kalamata salsa, white bean basil salad, red quinoa tabouli, almond feta & whole wheat Za’atar flatbread. It was SO GOOD.

  1. This was a cool photo documentary. That Mediterranean Bowl looked yum. And coolness on the doggie fountain 🙂

  2. You and Jeremy are so cute! This post made me so happy (minus the Embassy being closed). Only thing is I wish I could have been with you (especially for those meals and on the beach)! xo

    1. Lots of headaches and paperwork! And we haven’t even scratched the surface. As of right now, I’m just trying to get my name in my mom’s livret de famille to make me an official part of the French family (my parents didn’t do this when I was born), then I can try to apply for citizenship, which I’m thinking would be easier if I were in France. Off to France we go!

  3. Sounds like you’re still having a great time, living your life as you desire. It’s such an inspiration. I love the multi-task recovery process – I might have to copy that. Oh, and just reading this post is making me hungry! Everything looks so yummy!

    1. Those are such nice words! I’m trying to really soak up the last remaining days here. It’s always a good idea to leave a place though, so you can appreciate it more when you return! I am still daydreaming about that dish I ordered in LA.
